What are your views on the casting of Matt Smith? |

The BBC have announced that Matt Smith has been cast in the role of the Doctor in the iconic BBC series Doctor Who. Smith will be the eleventh Time Lord and will take over from David Tennant who leaves the show at the end of 2009. So what are your views on the casting of Matt Smith? He's young. He looks like a Manga drawing of the current Doctor. I
can see the industrial, Gothic potential, which could be good, IF it doesn't get too emo Twilight. Doctor Who wouldn't be Doctor Who without the silly
nonsense (reference to the Christmas special). If they don't play too much to the dark side to offset his youth and are subtle about the tempting romance
based story lines, it could be good. I suppose it comes down to Matt's talent and Stephen Moffat's writing. I am looking forward to what they do with
it. Stephen Fry would have made a good Doctor though...just saying.
